I created this site for the distribution of lengthy handouts for a presentation I and a colleague are making for work. Initially, I was going to post the information on my school website, but felt like the information was really only geared toward other professional educators and decided to begin a new website that is not connected to my particular position.
I am an elementary school counselor at a great K-6 school in Alabama and active in my profession. I have 17 years of experience in education, counseling and mostly school counseling. I love the use of play therapy in school counseling. I believe that all school counselors are mental health counselors and have a responsibility to the mental health of all the students they serve.
