This site is always under construction. I will be adding to and creating, linking to other sites all the time. My hope is to keep this completely centered around professional learning and sharing, not to use it for my particular position at work.
Behavior RTI
I love this picture of the anxious student, because we in schools so often see that unexpected behavior as a misbehavior and in reality, it is anxiety that is behind all human "misbehavior." We should look at the unexpected behavior and ask, "what anxiety/discomfort/fear/loss of control is that student having that is helping to create this unexpected behavior. Miscellaneous
Goal setting helps students progress educationally and sometimes exceed their goals. -Jennifer Seravallo speaking to elementary faculty in MB 8-6-2014
Teachers have been identifying and making goals for students for years, but when the student leaves the conference, does the student explicitly know what their goal is? Does s/he have ownership over that learning goal? Teachers, why not present the student with his or her student generated evidence of the area/skill/strategy that shows a need in to the student's skills when you conference?
